To honour trendsetting contributions to management – as art, science, practice proliferation or perpetuation – ASBM instituted ASBM Lifetime Achievement Award in the year 2008. This award was conferred on outstanding professionals year to year till 2013. The ASBM Board of Governors took a decision to rename the award and also to expand the horizon. Hence, the award has been renamed as ASBM Award for Excellence. The award is given to individuals who have rendered their outstanding endeavours towards pursuit of perfection in their lives related to diverse branches of industry and academia. This uniquely designed award takes into account the innovative contributions of iconic figures in various capacities having a longstanding impact on the public, professionals, students, educators and nation builders. The objective of conferring this award is to make the landmark achievement by potential contributors more widely disseminated and publicized to create an inspiring impression among the new generation to follow the footprints of enigmatic and encompassing efforts of excellence.
