ASBM University Holds Fourth Convocation
Bhubaneswar, India – The fourth convocation of ASBM University , Bhubaneswar was graced by the Hon’ble 13th Vice President of India Shri M Venkaiah Naidu as the chieft guest. In his address he told the graduating students that knowledge is the supreme wealth and they should put their education to the best use by participating in nation building and shaping India into a world leader as their future is directly connected with the future of our great nation. Further, he said that learning is a life long process and is not limited to books alone. He said that the Founder and President of the university Prof. Biswajeet Pattanayak, an esteemed academician with a distinguished background, has given us a citadel of learning that embodies excellence and innovation. He added that Prof. Pattanayak’s vision has been pivotal in positioning ASBM University as a corner stone of education in Odisha. He further expressed his happiness that ASBM university is engaged in imparting holistic education with a futuristic focus to prepare our youth to face global competition and challenges.
Dr. P L Haranadh, Chairmain of Paradeep Port Authority in his address as Guest of Honour urged upon the students to own their lives and use their education with proper planning for a successful career in future.
The Founder and President Prof. Biswajeet Pattanayak in his address to the graduating batch advised them to learn to appreciate, and feel thankful and grateful for, the generosity bestowed on by others. They should acknowledge with gratitude what they have received because as the Indian scriptures say that each human being has to pay back some debts that they are born with. Therefore, they should be grateful for everything that they have received in their lives.
The Vice- Chancellor Prof. Ranjan Kumar Bala gave the welcome address and presented the annual report of the university.
Doctoral, Post Graduate and graduation degrees were awarded to the students from management, commerce, information technology, English literature, and economics.
The Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Phalgu Niranjana administered oath to the graduating students. The chief guest Shri Naidu gave away gold medals to meritorious students Prerana Das, Ayushmann Mohapatra, Stuti Singh, M. Indu and Prayas Patnaik.
