The Ninth Annual Convocation of Asian School of Business Management took place on its campus amidst great fervour and joy on the 2nd of April, 2016. The graduating ceremony of 2014-16 PGDM batch saw students being awarded the coveted diploma.
Justice Mr. V. Gopala Gowda, Hon’ble Judge, Supreme Court of India, graced the occasion as Chief Guest. In his convocation address he stated that Business houses must undertake to embody the spirit of the Indian Constitution within their schemes. Apart from being profit oriented, they must serve the society earnestly. Growth of business empires should not compromise on the fundamental rights of vulnerable citizens and thus, it becomes important to have a value based business education scheme.
Appreciating ASBM he said that it has continuous quality improvement schemes benchmark with leading Business Schools in the world. He, further, appreciated that the key aim of ASBM which is to strive to provide a highly evolved value based education that presents best percepts and practices of good governance, ethical business and sensitivity towards realities of the market in order to shape the student managers to become mature business leaders.
While congratulating the graduating batch he advised the student that the outside world is not full of Roses, if you want to pluck a Rose from the plant; you have to get it from the thorns without injuring yourself.
The Chairman of the Board of Governors of ASBM and chairman of Infinity Group, Shri Ravindra Chamaria, in his address to students told that when you step out from your institute and get busy with carving your own world, do remember to refer to and indeed cherish the values that your faculty and management here have tried hard to impart and ingrain in you.
Prof. Biswajeet Pattanayak, Founder & Director, ASBM, while presenting the annual report of the institute shared his thoughts with the graduating students. He said that perseverance with determination on the path of any goal proves to be the only difference between failure and success. Shri V. S. Manimaran, CMD, Visskan Aviation, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour
The graduating batch of 2016, of the Post Graduate Programme in Management received their degrees on this occasion from the Chairman of the Board of Governors of ASBM and Chairman of Infinity Group. Justice Mr. V. Gopala Gowda, gave away the Gold Medals to the toppers of the Batch Miss. Khushbu Agarwal and Best Graduate Shri Saumitri Bhusan Nanda. All the graduating students have been placed in different blue-chip companies. The function was attended by the corporate leaders, parents, alumni etc. The Chairman PG Council Dr. M. N. Samantaray coordinated the Programme
