Dr. Niranjan Sahu

Dr. Niranjan Sahu is an accomplished bureaucrat and had a Constitutional assignment as an Hon’ble Member of Odisha Public Service Commission. He was in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and has served the State of Odisha in various capacities such as Revenue Divisional Commissioner, Collector & District Magistrate, Director of the Departments of Industries, Higher Education, and Labour & ESI. Earlier, he had a stint in a nationalised bank as a Probationary Officer.
During his days in administration, Dr. Sahu had introduced a scheme of ‘Eye Care for All’ for which he received an award of Rs.5 lakhs from the Chief Minister of Odisha. He has also been honoured by the Hon’ble Governor for his tangible contribution to the Scout and Guide movement.
He holds Master’s Degree in History from Utkal University, Master of Business Administration from Fakir Mohan University, and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Management from ASBM University. He has undergone a Short Term Training Course in Public Administration at the famous Oxford University (UK). He was also into research as a UGC Research Fellow.
Dr. Sahu is a writer of repute and has published six books in Odia. He has edited different magazines and now writes columns regularly in Odia dailies. He is also a motivational speaker.
