Dr. Jyotirmayee Mohanty has been awarded Ph.D. in Economics by Berhampur University for her research study, ‘Policy, Planning and Development: A Study on Agricultural Sector of Odisha’. An earlier research study on ‘Economic Analysis of Local Finance: A Study of Cuttack Municipality Corporation, Odisha’ had earned her the degree of M.Phil. in Economics from the same University. She also holds a Master Degree in Economics from Ravenshaw University with specialisation in Agricultural Economics and Industrial Economics.
Dr. Mohanty has undertaken research studies on Agricultural Development in Odisha, Agricultural Production and Decomposition Analysis, Financial Literacy and Risk Management, Medical Solid Waste Management, Municipal Finance etc. Her research findings have been published in national and international journals. She has also presented a number of papers in national and international conferences and workshops.
She taught the post graduate students in Kendrapada Autonomous College before joining ASBM University. Earlier, she had taught in Khalikote College too.
Areas of Academic Interest – Development Economics, Agricultural Economics, Municipal Finance, Industrial Economics, and Economics of Environment.
