Dr. Ananta Charan Mishra has been awarded Ph.D. in Economics by Ravenshaw University for his research on “Rural-Urban Migration and the Living Environment of the Slum Dwellers: A Study in Cuttack District’. He had earlier earned his M.A. and M.Phil. – both in Economics from Utkal University. He also has a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Fakir Mohan University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.) from Utkal University.
Dr. Mishra has participated in a number of seminars and conferences including one conducted by IIT Bombay and has presented research papers. He has also successfully participated in a National Symposium for Faculty Knowledge on ‘Field, Fieldwork, and the Field Worker: Doing Teaching and Research in Social Science’.
He has a number of research publications along with a book on ‘Engineering Economics and Costing’. He has twenty six years of rich experience in teaching Economics and related subjects.
Areas of interest – Managerial Economics, Industrial Relations, Mathematical Economics, Economics of Migration, Urban Studies, Women Empowerment, and Financial Management.
