ABHINAYA Wisdom & Reflections

Bhubaneswar, India – ASBM University, in association with Dhauli Review Trust, is set to host a national two-day discourse on “Abhinaya: Wisdom & Reflections”. This prestigious event will take place on August 17th and 18th, 2024, at the university campus in Bhubaneswar.

The discourse will delve deep into the art and philosophy of acting, bringing together eminent theatre personalities for insightful discussions and performances. The event will feature renowned figures such as Dr. Mohan Agashe, Shri M K Raina, Shri Rajeev Naik, Shri Udayan Vajpeyi, Dr. Sanghamitra Mishra, Dr. Abhilash Pillai, Shri Satyabrata Rout, Shri Samanjasa Das, and Shri Manu Dash.

The event will explore the multifaceted world of acting, its philosophical underpinnings, contemporary relevance, and its impact on society. Key highlights include an inaugural address by Prof. (Dr.) Biswajeet Pattanayak, President of ASBM University, the release of the book, “Queen of Hearts & Ace of Spades,” a keynote address by Dr. Mohan Agashe, panel discussions on the role of theatre in education and theatre and society, and a captivating performance of the play “Mrugaya” (The Hunt).
