Dr. Hrusikesh Nath has been awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy by IIT Madras for his dissertation, ‘Structural and Magnetic Properties of Ni-Fe-Ga Heusler Alloys’. Earlier, he had earned the degrees of Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Physics from Ravenshaw University and Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from NIT Rourkela.

Dr. Nath has worked for Samara National Research University (a Federal State Autonomous Educational Institution of Higher Education) in Russia as Senior Scientist. He was earlier associated with the Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology (IMMT), Bhubaneswar as a Project Associate for the commissioning and installation of a thermal plasma spray unit. He has also gained industry experience having worked as Assistant Manager in the production unit of Orissa Sponge Iron and Steel Ltd., Keonjhar.

He has published five research papers in international journals. He has also presented seven research papers in national and international conferences including two held abroad in Hungary and Russia.

Dr. Nath is a Life Member of the Plasma Science Society of India.

Area of interest – Heusler Alloys, Materials Characterisation, Semi-conductive Materials, Magnetic Materials, Metallurgical Thermodynamics, Electron Microscopy, and X-ray Diffraction.
