ASBM University Hosts Startup Boot Camp to Ignite Entrepreneurial Spirit Among Students

Bhubaneswar, India – On 21st September, 2024 the EDC-Incubation Centre of ASBM University organised a Startup Boot Camp to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship among its student body. The program was graced by eminent dignitaries like Mr. Paritosh Anand, Co-founder, Vatsalya Wellness, Bhubaneswar, alumni of IIM Ahmedabad, certified startup mentor at Startup India and ICAI as the Chief Guest, and Mrs. Chitranshi Baranwal Microbiologist, Co-founder, Vatsalya Wellness, Bhubaneswar and Awardee of International Women Entrepreneurs Award 2024 as the Guest of Honour.

The honourable guests alongside the event coordinator Prof. Pratap Kumar Pati and co-coordinator Dr. Hari Narayan Sahu inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. The program was presided over by Dr. Eirene Leela Rout, Dean, School of Business, ASBM University.

The Guest of Honour, Mrs. Chitranshi Baranwal in her address inspiring the students talked about her remarkable journey as a researcher and entrepreneur. She shed light on the women wellness and menstrual health crisis in India and the eco-friendly contributions of Vatsalya Wellness to tackle it.

The Chief Guest Mr. Paritosh Anand through his address inspired the students by sharing insights from his remarkable career and the challenges faced by Vatsalya Wellness. He opened the forum for an interactive session discussing with the students the essence of entrepreneurship and the ways of validating and realizing their ideas.

The technical session saw the enthusiastic participation of a number of students who brought brilliant innovative business ideas to the table followed by the observations of Chief Guest and Guest of Honour. The first prize was bagged by the group consisting of Abhishek Pati, Anamika Tripathi, Amrita Jena and Samia Jamal from MBA, 1st year while the second and third prizes went to Sonalika Patra from BBA, 3rd year and Priyanka Mohanty from BA LLB, 1st year respectively.

Dr. Eirene Leela Rout presented the ASBM Memento to the Chief Guest and Guests of Honour. This program was attended by, all the Deans, Professors, faculties and students of the University.
